The Korosia or Buddha Tree commonly refers to *Chorisia speciosa*, also known as the Silk Floss Tree. Native to South America, it’s a striking ornamental tree with a thick, spiny trunk and large, showy flowers in shades of pink, violet, or white. The tree blooms in autumn and produces pear-shaped fruits filled with silky fibers. It’s admired for its unique appearance and is often planted in gardens and landscapes for its dramatic beauty.

Korosia tree Sometimes known as the **Buddha tree**, is frequently linked to two distinct species:

**1. *Ficus religiosa* Bodhi Tree**
Gautama Buddha is said to have achieved enlightenment beneath this revered fig tree. Both Buddhist and Hindu traditions hold it in high regard.

Heart-shaped leaves with a long, tapering tip; maximum height of 30 meters
