• Light: Bright light, ideally 4–6 hours of direct or very bright indirect sun.
• Water: Let soil dry out fully between waterings — roughly weekly in summer, much less in winter.
• Soil: Fast-draining bonsai or cactus mix; never let water pool in the pot.
• Feeding: A diluted balanced fertiliser once a month, March through October.
• Pruning: Light trimming keeps the open, airy canopy from becoming too dense — this is a style you can leave more natural.
• Placement: Best indoors near a bright window, or outdoors in partial shade. Bring indoors during frost or cold snaps.
