Marigold is one of the most celebrated seasonal flower in the south asian culture. Locally called Gainda (Gainday ka phool) comes in two colors that are yellow and orange. The plants are seasonala nd come in the winter season. They have a height of about 10 to 15 inches only, but one plant gives 6 to 10 round shaped flowers of about 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Although Marigold has no dominant scent but due to its soft leaves, ball like shaped and vibrant color, it is frequently seen in the weddings of south asia with a traditional cannotations.
